I am really excited to offer this new feature on my blog that I hope will provide a lot of benefit for my viewers.
Pioneered by greats like Jim Dahle of White Coat Investor and Wealthy Doc (the OG (“Original Gangsters”) of physician personal finance blogs), there has been such a wonderful renaissance in the physician financial world.
Many physicians have started their own blogs and shared their own unique views about the financial awakening achieved from this revolution (yours truly included).
A rising tide raises all boats, and I truly feel that this is indeed the case.
As more voices unite, the song of financial independence among physicians is one that I hope becomes deafening and loud enough to shatter the walls of debt that many have built around us.-Xrayvsn Click To Tweet
The one thing I have found is that with so many physician blogs to choose from, it is difficult to visit each and every site to see if there is new content available (a sort of analysis paralysis effect)
Even with subscriptions to multiple blogs, I still found myself checking daily on certain websites to see if there was indeed something new to read.
Sometimes I was lucky.
Other times I was not.
Much like it is easier to visit all your physicians for your medical care under one roof, I thought the same principle could and should be applied to physician blogs.
Rather than driving across the “virtual town” from one blog to another, why not create a virtual medical library containing the very latest post from each physician blogger and update it chronologically as new material is added (newest on top).
Thus the first building blocks in my head were formed and were subsequently used to construct, The Hospital.
Make visiting The Hospital part of your daily routine by bookmarking it and you will be guaranteed to have new content to read from at least one of the 50+ physician blogs out there.
A link to “The Hospital” can always be found in the title bar above.
The best part of all is that this hospital accepts all comers, insured or not.
And remember, as typical in every hospital, the radiology department is located on the ground floor, so come visit me in my dark sanctuary (and unlike Motel 6, I won’t leave the light on).
[If this is your first visit to “The Hospital” page, I suggest you go down the entire list of 50+ excerpts chronicling the latest available material from the physician blogosphere to catch you up to speed.
After that initial visit, you then only have to peruse the newest entries located at the top that have populated the list since your last visit.]

Awesome idea! I’m not a Doc, but this is A1 man. I love it! Cheers!
Really appreciate it. It actually started out as a selfish reason because I was getting drained trying to go to every site and trying to find new content. Thought there would have to be a better way. This was my solution and figured others might benefit too
Wow! I love this! This is an excellent idea and it’s amazing how you implemented it. I’m going to check into the hospital every day now! (No, I’m not a hypochondriac). ;P
Thanks for the positive feedback. I worked on it all weekend to try and get it in a presentable manner. There some kinks I haven’t figured how to iron out (8 blogs that I put in the source feed system seem to have not have the RSS feeds suitable for some reason). Not sure how to work around that or what is wrong with those particular blog feeds. Hopefully can find a solution.
Great idea xrayvsn. Thanks for including me.
Of course. And thanks 🙂 I am trying to add every physician blog there is (having trouble with the RSS feeds still on a few, so even though I added them I can’t get their content to show on the hospital). But glad your worked 🙂
It’s like having a New England Journal you actually read instead of allowing tall piles to accumulate next to the crapper! Brilliant idea, Xrayvsn!
LOL. Thanks CD. This was born out of necessity because I was getting drained checking out everyone’s blogs and trying to keep up with the material. One of the bonuses was I found a couple of new physician blogs I like and have great content so I’m glad I actually figured out how to to this.
I used a combination of your comprehensive physician blog list and that by Dr. Linus with the physician blog rankings to try and get all the blogs available in the feed.
Cool idea XRV! I try to stay with certain sites as I find most US strategies not useful for our Canadian situation. Plus my content is not useful for most outside of Canada. I also have zero interest in reading sites that believe their way is the only way. If there is one thing I have learned about finances is that you need to do what is right for you and your family. Blanket advice without recognizing the ENTIRE financial picture of someone is flipping dangerous. Furthermore money is very fluid and plans need to adjust. Thus I cringe when… Read more »
I hope you don’t stop writing, I look forward to your posts (but as you mentioned some of them I have no clue about because of the difference in programs between the two countries (but you always have been great about telling me well this Canadian plan is similar to this US plan, etc). 🙂 I believe you were my first international visitor to my blog (or at least the first to comment) so I am glad to have you as a lifelong blogging buddy 🙂 The best thing about so many physician blogs is as you say, everyone has… Read more »
Great resource, thank you!
Thank you Miss Bonnie MD! Glad you liked it and thanks for stopping by 🙂
What a great idea you had in starting this on your blog. This really is a brilliant !
Thanks Andrea 🙂 It really turned out better than I envisioned originally and glad I spent the weekend trying to get it ready for primetime 🙂 Appreciate your support as always. 🙂
Great work! Thanks for including me too!
Thank you. You definitely have content I have been reading and like. Hopefully others who have not come across your blog might now do so because of this
Oh you’re a radiologist! All this strange background color and theme makes sense now. Well if it’s everything under one roof…don’t you want to call it Kaiser? bahahahah ?
Lol. Guilty as charged. Primarily working in a dark environment causes me to favor the dark based themes. Lol on the Kaiser reference as well. Thanks for stopping by
