Welcome to another installment of the X-ray Beam series.
To mark the exact 1 year anniversary of the blog (which just so happens to coincide with my 48th birthday today), I thought now that my incredibly dilapidated piecemeal X-ray equipment has been sufficiently tested out on multiple prior
guinea pigs subjects it MAY finally be deemed safe to put my very own precious body on the table and see what makes me tick.
[I truly and sincerely apologize to the inaugural interviewees. I honestly thought that the hair loss, skin discoloration, and priapism would only be a temporary condition.
Although in my defense, what did you expect from a makeshift radiology setup in a back alley under the cover of darkness?]
“I’m starting with the man in the mirror.” -Michael Jackson
I really appreciate the time you are taking out of your busy schedule to do this examination.
I know as an outpatient radiologist you live by the motto: “Last to come. First to leave.”
So let’s do this the right way and get you gowned up.
I see that your department has taken frugality to the limit with some extreme cost cutting measures such as these flimsy paper gowns (Mr. Money Mustache would be proud).
Really leaves nothing to the imagination.
I’ve never seen you tongue-tied before.
It’s your physique.
Do you work out?
Ummm. Why yes.
I could tell.
You can bounce a quarter off that butt.
Thanks, I guess.
I just cannot continue.
You are just too visually distracting.
In all seriousness, I just want to say how appreciative I am to everyone who has visited this site, commented on it (2626 comments and counting), helped spread the word on various social media platforms, and, most important of all, have given me a reason to continue on my blogging journey.
I am truly appreciative of those who have taken the time to subscribe to this blog (312 and counting) and I hope that future material I put out does not make you regret that choice but rather keeps you coming back for more.
[And for those who haven’t subscribed, please consider doing so.

It truly is amazing that a full year has gone by from the time I was questioning my decision to start a blog and clicking on that fateful button that essentially unleashed this website live onto the blogosphere.
I guess I can finally shed the moniker of “fledgling blogger” and now, with a year under my belt, can finally say I have actually graduated to just “blogger.”
This post marks the 151st one published on this site (amazingly not a single one has yet to be repeated (although in future some may be revisted)).
It also completely floors me how the content that I have created from the very dark recesses of my mind has slowly spread across the globe.
Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine that words I created are being read by eyes in countries I have only read about and, because my geography skills are quite lacking, some I never even knew existed.
My biggest fear of having the creative well run dry so far has not come to fruition (knock on wood).
I hope you all stick around and keep frequenting this site as I try to find worthy content for your eyes.
If there are topics that you would like to see on this platform, I am always receptive to suggestions and even guest posts (just use the contact me form).
I do hope I can make it to the two year anniversary of blogging because statistics show that if you have a blog that survives that long, you have a great chance of continuing long term.
Again thank you all so much.
I didn’t even have to use my birthday wish to make this blogging dream of mine come true.

Nominations for the PLUTUS AWARDS are going on now.
I would be incredibly grateful for your support if you do indeed choose to nominate this blog for an award.
(and it would make my first FinCon an even more incredible experience)
